2018, what a year! As you can imagine the weather has had a huge impact on our work! With ‘The Beast from the East’ bringing snow chaos to the summer being one of the hottest since records began it has been a tough year, but we have survived.
We were fortunate that ‘The Beast from the East’ hit us during a week where no marquees were required and so our team was able to stay safely at home. The summer however was not so quiet, with some of our busiest weeks coinciding with the hottest weeks of the year.
Summer always brings with it the return on our seasonal workers, many of whom are familiar faces on their summer breaks from University. We also had a few new faces this year whom we hope to see again in 2019. This year has been the last season for a couple of the regular team, with them successfully graduating and moving on to their chosen careers. Congratulations to you all, thank you for your hard work over the years and good luck to you for the future.
The soaring temperatures made our job much harder this summer but the team was amazing and kept smiling through it all - even though at times it was very challenging. A massive ‘Thank You’ to the whole team for being so resiliant and dedicated to both the company & our clients - we couldn’t have done it without you.
Weatherfields has contributed to a number of large corporate events this year, from helping to provide the ideal scene to promote new products, to providing a venue large enough for 500 employees to celebrate their company’s 50thanniversary in style; it’s always an honour to be part of such events.
It’s not only large corporate events of which we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of, we’ve also had a number of Weddings, Charity Events, County Shows, Restaurant Extensions, Funerals and Birthday Parties to name just a few. Large numbers of these were for previous customers who got back in contact to request our services once again, always a huge compliment.
We’ve had the joy of working at some stunning locations spread all over East Anglia from Norwich, Holt, King's Lynn, Burnham, Fakenham, Cambridge, Ipswich, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Chelmsford, and many more. Each location has brought with it its own challenges which we have happily accommodated and done our best to overcome.
We are now in the Christmas season, which is another busy time of year for us, especially for our heaters, with our marquees being the back drop for countless Christmas Fairs, Christmas & New Year’s Parties and Weddings.
With 2018 nearly at an end we would like to wish all of our past and present clients a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
2019 is set to be another busy year for us at Weatherfields with some weekends already fully booked and many others with only limited space available. We have even had our 1stbooking for 2020!! However we look forward to accommodating as many clients as we can.
